Wednesday, October 08, 2008 Hitachi Electronic Devices Expands Use of Camstar Electronics Suite™ to Manage Growing Production
More...
Camstar Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing and Quality Execution Systems, announced today that Hitachi Electronic Devices (Wujiang) Co. Ltd., one of world’s leading electronics companies and an existing Camstar customer, recently entered into a new agreement with Camstar to expand Hitachi’s use of Electronics Suite to manage production of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) at its plant located near Suzhou, China. Since its first phase implementation in September 2007, Camstar’s Electronics Suite has been successfully helping Hitachi to control its shop-floor production operations through real-time visibility, traceability, and consistent product quality needed to meet ever-growing demand for its products.
Hitachi selected Camstar’s Electronics Suite for its out-of-the-box functionality designed specifically for Electronics manufacturing processes, and for its ability to streamline production through electronic management and enforcement of process specifications, and for the system’s unique multi-level work-in-process (WIP) tracking capabilities. Hitachi now efficiently collects accurate and timely information on work orders, WIP status, yield, high-investment production equipment, material usage and defect analysis. As a result, Hitachi more accurately controls and manages production planning, work order progress, materials, quality, full product build traceability, and equipment certification - all critical business requirements.
