The Camstar Customer Conference 2011 was themed "Advancing Product Quality across the Supply Chain, from Design to Sourcing to Process Planning to Manufacturing to Field Use." During the opening General Session, Camstar previewed the next major release of its Enterprise Platform and launched the newest version of its SaaS-based Supply Chain Quality solution. Panels of industry experts and Camstar customers explained how attention to the entire product lifecycle and adopting a closed-loop approach to continuous improvement helps to advance product quality across all areas.
"Our research shows that brand owners must implement solutions to support on-demand visibility, collaboration and control over their complete supply network, whether it's internal or outsourced, local or global," said panelist Daniel R. Matlis, President of Axendia, "Camstar's launch of the newest version of its On-demand Supply Chain Quality solution demonstrates that it understands the demands of today's global and outsourced operations, where the brand owner is ultimately responsible for the quality, safety and efficacy of the product. To this end, brand owners must achieve visibility and control from the earliest part of the process in order to reduce the opportunity for costly issues downstream."
"This was a unique opportunity for Camstar's customers to learn from each other across multiple industries and roles," said Scott Toney, President and CEO of Camstar. "The speakers have tremendous knowledge of their businesses, and were able to show how Camstar's products add value and enable outstanding successes in achieving top product quality, accelerated innovation, and operational excellence."
