Project/Program Manager
General Purpose of the Position:
- A Project/Program Manager is assigned one or more projects within Camstar. A project being the completion of identified deliverables for a Customer. The Customer can also be for Camstar (internal and strategic), Camstar partner related, or another corporation.
- Each project belongs to a program. The Project/Program Manager is responsible for following the associated program strategy, which defines the project management, technology approach, implementation methodology and quality, and support for the program.
- The Project/Program Manager is responsible for the wellbeing and success of the assigned project.
- The Project/Program Manager is responsible for the overall architecture of the solution for a project from a functional viewpoint and represents that view in the implementation phases of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identification of additional sales opportunities for the project, to be addressed by the Sales group.
- Assist in sales meetings, Statement-Of-Work (SOW) generation, estimates-of-effort, or other sales activities associated with the project, representing Camstar or its partners.
- Responsible for implementation of the policies, procedures, best practices, tools, techniques, and deliverables that are defined in the program strategy as applied to the following aspects of the project:
- Project management methodology, based on the Camstar Quality System.
- Application of technology and solutions.
- Implementation methodology, based on the Camstar Quality System.
- Implementation quality.
- Implementation support.
- Obtain, manage and lead the personnel assigned to the project.
- Establish, promote, and represent the interests of the Customer and resources for the project. Resources include personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure wellbeing of the project through Customer management level contact, maintaining Customer satisfaction, and reporting of the project status. The project status includes the revenues, costs, and schedule.
- Identify and capture solution requirements. Craft the proposed solution for the requirements and gains the Customer’s agreement through documentation, prototyping, and presentations.
- Reviews the build deliverables to ensure conformance to the proposed solution; this includes design documents, prototypes, test scripts, and test execution.
- This position has no Camstar personnel administration functions.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft server and networking technologies.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Knowledge of standard project life-cycle approaches, technical architectures and solutions, quality programs, and project measurement approaches.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles, Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE), and the Software Capability Model (SCM).
- Understanding of the installation and deep knowledge of functionality for the Camstar product suite.
- Deep knowledge of the Camstar Consulting Quality System.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience.
- Experience in pre-and-post sales, project implementation, and support to manufacturing.
- Seven (7) years experience in manufacturing systems integration, software development, and project management.
- Project Management and implementation of projects that required integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS), Product Data Management (PDM), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), machine automation, and/or other shop floor and enterprise systems.
- Experience with complex or multi-plant or global MES solutions.
- Experience in multiple manufacturing industries.
- Project management, technical or industry accreditation.
