Modeler
Candidates can engage in Modeler certification testing after completing the Explorer Level training and the Camstar Implementation Methodology course. There is a single exam with 2 parts that test a candidate’s skills related to Camstar (MES) model configuration.
Test 1 – includes questions related to the out of the box base product
Test 2 – includes questions related to the out of the box functionality of Camstar Features
Quiz score from Camstar Implementation methodology courses is also factored into the Modeler certification testing.
Modeler certification is a pre-requisite to all other role certifications.
Designer – Associate
Candidates interested in Designer certification must hold Modeler certification and attend the Object Design, Advanced Object Design, and Web Forms Builder courses. There are three exams that test a candidate’s skills related to the Designer Application

Designer – Professional
To certify as a Designer-Professional, candidate must hold Designer – Associate level certification and complete 4 additional tests.

System Developer
This role assumes significant pre-requisite skills in the area of Visual Studio.Net, programming languages related to development, and project methodology. Therefore, the testing will concentrate on specific skills related to the Visual Studio IDE, .Net Web form development, guidelines and best practices, and debugging and testing. To gain final certification to this role, a candidate must complete and pass a 3 part System Developer test with a Passing grade as evaluated by a Certified System Developer assigned as mentor / grader. It is expected that each of the 3 test areas (Basic, Advanced, and Methodology) will take an individual approximately 1 business day to complete allowing for researching the answer. Failure of any test area will require an applicant submit a request to be retested in that area.

Integration Consultant
To certify as an Integration consultant requires multiple role certifications. A candidate must hold Modeler and Designer – Associate Level certifications to engage in the Integration test.
It is expected that candidates seeking certification to this role will hold the following pre-requisite qualifications:
Experience with Camstar Implementations
Experience with Software Integration in a Manufacturing Environment
Experience with Cross-Platform or Cross-Application Integration
Candidates seeking certification to this role must also have experience with XSLT using Altova XMLSpy or a comparable product
There is a single test for this role that covers the following topics:
- Creation of Outbound XML document in Designer as a result of a maintenance transaction
- Creation of Inbound XML document to execute Mfg Transactions.
- Understanding the Components and requirements of a Touch Point Agreement
- Completion of an XML XSLT Transformation
- Completion of Camstar Mfg. API transaction
