Camstar's Evolution

Founded in 1984, Camstar developed some of the first manufacturing execution software (MES) systems. Camstar introduced its Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems solution, InSite, in 1998, creating the most flexible and robust solution available for managing production across distributed production facilities, optimizing resource allocation, rapidly responding to changing conditions, and integrating critical manufacturing information real-time with the business.

In response to customer requests for a highly configurable solution that is also rapid to deploy, Camstar enhanced InSite with vertical industry applications in 2005. Medical Device Suite was the company’s first complete vertical application, designed especially for the Medical Device and Diagnostics industry. It was followed by our second vertical application specifically designed for Semiconductor back-end test, assembly and packaging.
