Alliance Expands Global Manufacturing and Quality Execution Capability for the SAP ‘Perfect Plant’
Charlotte, NC — May 5, 2008 — Camstar Systems, Inc, a leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing and Quality Execution Systems, announced today that it has entered a Global Strategic Alliance Agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading information technology organization. Camstar and TCS will join forces with SAP® AG, to enhance opportunities for Life Sciences manufacturers to achieve a fully integrated manufacturing platform using SAP’s “Perfect Plant” initiative.
SAP’s Perfect Plant gives a 360-degree view into all plant operations. It allows manufacturers to increase visibility, improve integration with business processes, and extend their investment in the SAP ERP application by integrating it with the Camstar platform to improve plant operations. Camstar and SAP have already demonstrated tremendous success with Camstar’s
eDHR Intelligence v4.2 composite application which provides real-time communication of manufacturing data and global visibility into manufacturing operations through a single, role-based composite user experience. A global “virtual team” from TCS and SAP will operate a Perfect Plant Center of Excellence that showcases SAP manufacturing applications and Camstar MII composite applications working together in a simulated plant environment.
