Attendees Learn Concrete Techniques to Successfully Deploy Manufacturing and Quality Execution Systems to Proactively Improve Operational Performance
Charlotte, NC — May 15, 2008 — Camstar Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing and Quality Execution Systems, today announced the success of its 2008 Global Customer Conference, held April 27-30 at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. At the Manufacturing 360 conference, customers, partners and industry experts enthusiastically networked and attended sessions where they shared best practices for attaining top payback from technology investments, and methods for rapid deployment and extending their manufacturing and quality systems globally. Customers reported results like a 54% reduction in corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), a 67% reduction in overall recall expenses, and the elimination of literally miles of burdensome paper – all direct results of implementing Camstar’s solutions. Many attendees said the event was “the best conference yet.”
“The conference was a tremendously valuable experience,” said Camstar customer Colin Boyd, Project Manager at Stirling Medical Innovations. “Discussions with other customers and Camstar employees gave me ideas I can take back and use immediately. The learning sessions and user lab provided useful information on everything from global manufacturing strategies to the technical details of Camstar’s solutions. It was very exciting to learn about Camstar’s new platform for Closed-Loop Quality Execution.”
At the conference, Camstar unveiled its new platform that will enable the next leap forward for manufacturing, Closed-Loop Quality Execution, an end-to-end business process surrounding manufacturing and quality operations. Analysts, who predict the approach will "Change the Game", joined partners and customers in the launch that was broadcast on May 8. To watch the recorded event, visit www.camstar.com/nextleapforward
Speakers at the conference included Camstar customers, partners, and employees, and analysts - all of whom are experts in key aspects of manufacturing, quality and technology. Attendees actively participated in customer-presented case studies, technical workshops, the hands-on user lab, and impromptu conversations. The keynote speaker and renowned author and consultant, Geoffrey Moore, guided attendees through organizational and process changes that are essential to innovation and success.
“The participation and energy level at the Manufacturing 360 Conference was impressive,” said Rob Rudder, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Camstar. “Presentations by Camstar customers revealed excellent project results and outstanding benefits to their businesses. Attendee response was overwhelmingly positive.”
“Manufacturing 360 sponsors make a conference of this scale and quality possible,” Rudder continued. “We thank Technology Resources Group, Dell, Geometric, HCL, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Infosys, Integral Technology Solutions, ENOVIA, Microsoft and Tata Consulting Services for their help and participation.”
