World's Largest Steel Manufacturer Turned to Camstar for Shortened Delivery Times,
Optimized Stock Levels and Just-In-Time Production of Specialized Steel Products
CAMPBELL, Calif. (June 16, 2004) - Camstar Systems, Inc, a leading

announced that Industeel, a division of Arcelor Group (CELR.PA), has implemented
Camstar's InSite™ manufacturing execution system (MES), in association with Novotek,
a strategic Camstar solution partner and distributor in Europe, to manage its internal
supply chain in its Charleroi, Belgium facility. Industeel, operating three complementary
industrial plants in France and Belgium, specializes in manufacturing advanced technology
carbon steel, alloy and stainless steel plates for customers in the process engineering,
military facilities and special machine building industries.
As Industeel's customers increasingly demand shorter delivery times, it was critical
for the company to improve the efficiency of plate movements in the shop floor and
optimization of the stock levels between the melting shop and the rolling mill.

InSite's object-oriented Factory Information Model enables Industeel to seamlessly
perform the required flexible modeling of critical entities such as piles, zones,
areas and slabs. In addition, InSite's XML interface links directly with Industeel's
wireless scanners, terminals, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
and optimization algorithms, to provide real-time manufacturing insight into the
shop floor operations. The solution also provides greater manageability and lower
system support costs due to its performance capabilities, open infrastructure and
its out-of-the-box integration with its SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) enterprise resource planning
(ERP) application. With Camstar's solution, Industeel now has a flexible, easy-to-use
system to manage its entire internal supply chain.
