Increased interoperability with SAP solutions results in increased visibility of global manufacturing operations

Camstar Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing Execution and Quality Management Systems, today announced that its InSite 4.1 Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution has obtained “Powered by SAP NetWeaver®” status.
The SAP NetWeaver platform is the enterprise software platform of choice for a significant number of Camstar’s customers in the life science, semiconductor, high tech and rolled goods industries. InSite attained Powered by SAP NetWeaver status through integration with the SAP® ERP Central Component based on the SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver XI) component. Those companies that are expanding their use of SAP NetWeaver can capitalize on their investment to increase manufacturing visibility and operational control across multiple sites and locations by using the SAP NetWeaver XI-based integration of InSite and SAP ERP Central Component Release 5.0.
Certified integration, with preconfigured business content, also means faster deployment and reduced cost of ownership by eliminating the added time and expense associated with custom integrations. The certified Package for MES Integration of Camstar’s InSite solution includes graphical business process flows and data mapping, guaranteed delivery through message brokering, standard integration scenarios, and Camstar’s best practices for key inbound and outbound transactions. The development process was completed quickly due to Camstar’s InSite Manufacturing Service Bus that exposes all transactions as a web service.
