Solving the Technology Payback Riddle |
New technologies and improved accounting methods allow quicker project startup and more accurate ROI forecasts.
Justifying the purchase of software applications can be a major challenge – particularly at companies that have very short payback expectations. While for many 12 months is the standard, I recently heard of a company where it’s 12 weeks! August 16, 2011
1:00pm ET
Presented by Gloria Rios-Monarrez, Sr. Quality Systems Engineer, Enterasys
Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, is a premier global provider of wired and wireless network infrastructure and security solutions. At Enterasys, our culture and all aspects of our operations are built around the mantra that “There is nothing more important than our customers.” SigmaSure has helped us to take care of our customers by having data available from multiple sources, including our contract manufacturers and other suppliers.
Enterasys products are 100% outsourced which requires constant monitoring of our CMs and ODMs around the globe to ensure our customers receive the best quality products. Camstar’s SigmaSure SaaS provides the framework and analytical tools to operationalize the communication, and helps identify areas of improvement. In this presentation we will show you how Enterasys implemented SigmaSure with CMs and ODMs in China, Taiwan, and Thailand. We will review the methods used to bring CMs on board, our learnings from having access to detailed data from manufacturing, and our next steps toward continuous improvement.

Mark Lincoln,
VP Quality and Operations, Terumo CVS
“The more you can bring your manufacturing and quality systems into one, the easier it is to drive quality and compliance deeper into the organization and the stronger and more successful you will be. As companies grow and expand their supply chains internationally, having one platform with visibility and control is key achieving quality excellence and success going forward.
“At Terumo, we are driving quality and compliance deeper into the organization, allowing the operator to focus on building the perfect product while our system is monitoring effectiveness behind the scenes. We have implemented key process improvements like visibility into the manufacturing floor, real-time feedback and hard stops when needed to prevent defects from moving down the line.”
